Glebe Farm is one of south Cheshire’s most loved family days out, with over 30 independent businesses on site. I took over their Facebook and Instagram channels to bring consistency, a clear voice, and content that actually gets seen.
About Glebe Farm
Glebe Farm is a family-friendly visitor attraction in the village of Astbury, near Congleton. Alongside its resident animals, including alpacas, donkeys, ponies and goats, the farm is home to more than 30 independent tenant businesses operating from its barns and outbuildings. From a coffee shop and butcher’s to independent retailers and food vendors, it’s a proper community hub. Entry and parking are both free, which makes it a favourite for local families throughout the year.
The challenge
With over 30 businesses on site, Glebe Farm’s social media had become difficult to manage. Each business had access to post on the farm’s channels, which meant content went up at all hours, in different styles, with no consistent voice or direction. There was no strategy behind what was being posted or when, and the farm’s own identity was getting lost in the noise.
Graham needed someone to take ownership of the channels properly: one person, one voice, a clear plan.
That’s where I came in. I took over both Facebook and Instagram as sole content manager, putting a proper structure in place and producing all content myself.

Taking over from a multi-access free-for-all meant the first job was getting the channels under control. From there, it was about building a content strategy that worked for the farm as a whole, not just individual businesses on site.
